TPGA SENIOR SECTION CHAMPION

(Brentwood, TN)  The Regions Bank Tennessee PGA Senior Section Championship wrapped up at Nashville Golf & Athletic Club today.  Senior PGA Professionals from all across the state have gathered to test their skills at one of the toughest golf courses in the state.  Mark Houser (Kingsport) continued his recent domination of the seniors by shooting even par for the Championship and claiming the title.  James Paschal (Hendersonville) finished at +4 over par for the event to bring home second place.  There was a tie for third place with Hunt Gilliland (Chattanooga), Gary Robinson (Hermitage) and Bill Franklin (Sparta), who all shot +7 over par.

In the regular division, John Wylie (Knoxville) had four birdies on the back nine holes to finish one under par for the day and win the division by one shot over Gene Dixon (Murfreesboro).  Gary Head (Hendersonville) finished third and Tom Beaver (Shelbyville) brought home fourth place.

The top 4 seniors will compete in the Senior Professional PGA National Championship later this year in Florida.  They are Mark Houser (Kingsport), James Paschal (Hendersonville), Hunt Gilliland (Chattanooga) and Bobby Bray (Morristown) and Buddy Harston (Whites Creek) tied for the final spot.  We would like to thank Regions Bank and Page & Tuttle for their support of this Championship.
