Calle Nielson and Maggie Scott

Calle Nielson is named Tennessee Golf Association’s 2009 Women’s Amateur Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. Calle’s honor comes from her performance in three prominent events that she competed in this past year. She put up a strong fight against the national field of at this year’s Women’s Trans National Amateur Championship. Calle is currently in junior year at the
Player of the Year. This makes the eighth year Maggie is crowned this title. Out of all of her 2009 events she played in, her advancements in two distinctive events put her name on the plaque again this year. Maggie took the title as runner-up in this year’s competitive Women’s Senior Amateur Championship. Finishing up the final round with the best score of the day, 77, she finished just two strokes behind taking the win home (76-79-77, 232). This was quite a year for Maggie. Since adding a few more golf accolades to her already impressive list, she will as well add more name to her compilation of titles, grandmother. Maggie’s first grandchild is officially on its way. Congratulations to Maggie on one wonderful year!!!
