Fleming & Lucas Land a final round 64 to seal win:

Final Round of Tennessee Women’s Four-Ball

(Knoxville) Rising above a field of 160 competitors, locals Jennifer Lucas of Knoxville and Mimsy Fleming of Seymour took this year’s win at The 2010 Tennessee Women’s Four-Ball.  Making their mark on Cherokee Country Club with their final round ultra low of 64, the duo’s first round of 71gave the team the winning combination of 134 to take the win. Lucas and Fleming certainly had teamwork and skill on their side as they sank a total of 9 birdies, 8 alone in the final round, which ultimately secured their place at the top.

Returning Four-Ball veterans, Ingrid Jones of Maryville and Linda Wimberly of Nashville (70-67, 138) took 1st flight honors. Coming in as the runner up, Maggie Scott of Charleston and Debbie Durham of Signal Mountain (69-72, 141).  The Donald Ross design put these two teams to the test. The tight fairways and rolling greens of Cherokee gave each of these 80 teams in the field a challenge.

TRAVELS TO KNOXVILLE WITH FULL FIELD

Cherokee Country Club

August 17-18, 2010

(Franklin, TN) The Annual Tennessee Women’s Four-Ball is looking for the new 2010 winning team. Last year’s winning duo, Staci Lynch of Clarksville, 21 and Catie Tucker of Ooltewah, 20, made history at Cleveland Country Club by becoming the youngest team to win in the tournament’s history.
