The inaugural The First Tee of Nashville Ace & Eagle Academy concluded on Monday, August 3 with a unique tournament that paired two adult players with two The First Tee participants. Hosted by The Golf Club of Tennessee, 23 teams of four competed in the Select Shot Challenge on this Tom Fazio designed course. Congratulations to the winning team of Brad Rosenblum, Bill Moore, and The First Tee participants, Cole Newman from the First Tee of Nashville and Leon Lockett from The First Tee of Memphis. The Ace & Eagle Academy began on July 29 and thanks to numerous individual donors and product sponsors, the Academy was free for deserving 42 participants that attended from 21 different The First Tee chapters located in nine states. The academy was a week of golf immersion, with two full 18-hole rounds, eight 9-hole rounds as well as lots of time dedicated to full swing, short game and course management. Each participant received a SeeMore putter, a pair of Callaway golf shoes, other Callaway product, including hats, balls and equipment.
