HUFSTETLER NABS EARLY LEAD AT TGA MID-AMATEUR

(Collierville) Mitch Hufstetler (Harrison) grabbed the first round lead of the 23rd Annual Tennessee Mid-Amateur Championship presented by Gentleman Jack, being held at Spring Creek Ranch. Hufstetler played in the afternoon and fired a 5 under par 67 to hold a one shot lead at the end of the day.

Todd Burgan (Knoxville) was one shot back of Hufstetler after an opening round of 4 under par 68. Another shot back at 3 under par 69 was Tim Jackson (Germantown), a five-time TGA Mid-Amateur champion.

Second round play begins tomorrow at 8 a.m.
