Hillman Robbins
(1932-1981)

  

%    Won the 1957 US Amateur Championship

%    Won the 1954 NCAA Championship

%    He won the 1953 Tennessee State Amateur and the 1953 & 55 Southeastern Open

%    In 1954 he won the Southern Intercollegiate and Arkansas Open

%    In 1956 he won the North-South Amateur

%    He was a member of the Walker Cup team in 1957

%    Hillman was a member of the Tennessee Section PGA and served as a club professional at Galloway Golf Course in Memphis from 1966 until his death in 1981

%    Hillman was inducted into the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame in 1995


Hillman competed in the Masters (1955, 56 & 59) and played in three US Opens (1952, 53 & 59).  Over a period of eight years he won close to sixty amateur golf tournaments, which is more than any other Tennessee golfer has ever won.
