Judy Eller Street

     

%    Won the 1957 and 1958 US Junior Girls Amateur Championship

%    Won the 1959 NCAA Championship and was runner-up in 1960

%    She won seven Tennessee Women’s Amateur Championships, five straight from 1956-1960, and in 1962 and 1966

%    She won the 1959 and 1960 Southern Amateur

%    Was a member of the 1960 and 1962 Curtis Cup teams

%    Judy was inducted into the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame in 1995

Judy Eller Street is a member of the golfing Eller family from Old Hickory and had a brilliant career in women’s amateur golf even though she retired from active competition in 1969.  She competed on the 1960 and 1962 Curtis Cup teams.  Judy is a member of the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame, and the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame.  In 1989, Golf Digest selected her Tennessee’s greatest woman golfer.
