Course Updates:

Belle Meade Country Club

Damage in bunkers and some drainage issues on greens but all things considered course is doing well and they plan to reopen Friday or Saturday.

Brentwood Country Club- PHOTOS: Click Here
Course received extensive flooding and washed out several cart paths and damaged some bridges.  Lots of debris on the course.

Clarksville Country Club

Half the Course is open for play the other half is still underwater and they do not know the extent of the damage done yet to that side.

Forrest Crossing Golf Club

Range now open. Golf Course opening May 7th in the afternoon. Updated 5/6/10

Gaylord Springs Golf Links:

Gaylord was one of the worst hit facilities.  The course was completely underwater including the first level of the clubhouse – which includes the cart barn.  Neil Collins was hoping to access the facility by boat on Tuesday to assess the damage and to gather personal belongings.  The Gaylord Golf Institute run by Virgil Herring, PGA suffered major damage and most likely all of his equipment is gone.  On a personal note, Virgil lives in Bellevue and his first floor is under water.  He and his family are safe, but they are still assessing the damage and waiting for the water to recede.  Please keep Virgil and the rest of the Gaylord family in your thoughts and prayers.

Germantown Country Club
9 holes open - 9 holes are under water

Harpeth Valley Golf Center- Updated 5/10/10- New Pictures Added

Harpeth Valley Golf Center was heavily impacted by the flood.  We lost our office and pro shop, our maintenance building (and most of their contents), some equipment, our lighted sign, carport, electrical pole with meters and boxes, some range and course damage.  The list goes on and on.  We were devastated.  We are currently closed, but hope to have a temporary office in and back open for business by May 15th.  Prayers appreciated.

Hermitage Golf Course
All of the greens are above water on General's Retreat now, but half of President's Reserve are still under water.  Most of the maintenance equipment is ok and we didn't have any issues at the clubhouse.

Hillwood Country Club:

Course had some bunker damage, but came through relatively unscathed.  Club is open for play.  One staff member lost his home and car, so they are seeking donations for him and his family.

Johnny Warren Golf Adademy:

Academy and range are fine.  Part of Fairvue Plantation property.  Foxland Course in good shape; Lakes Course has a lot of water throughout course.

Long Hollow Golf Course:

Extensive damage to back nine.  Holding pond collapsed.  Cart path damage, tee signs gone.  Have front 9 open for play, but back 9 is still being assessed for damage.

McCabe Golf Course PHOTOS: CLICK HERE

Four greens that run along side of the creek were totally destroyed along with the cart path in that area and much of the fence between the course and the Richland Creek Greenway. The course, which usually features 27 holes, is scheduled to re-open Thursday with 18 holes that still are playable. The par will be 67.

Mike Wine Golf Academy at The Family Golf Center

The Family Golf Center lost two buildings, and we hope to re-open the driving range and Mini-golf Center as early as this week-end.

Nancy
Quarcelino School of Golf (King’s Creek Golf Club):

Minimal damage – lost a lot of training aids as water filled their storage area.  Hope to be up and teaching again on Wednesday, May 5.

Old Natchez Country Club:

75% of the course is under water.  Still assessing damage to greens, but are hoping they will be okay.  Most likely will be closed for a week.

Orgill Park Golf Course
9 holes open - 9 holes under water

Old Hickory Country Club
Extensive damage to 2,3,17. The rest of the holes are currently open.
Neighborhood adjacent to holes 4,5,6 is flooded and many homes are damaged severely.  Waterford subdivision in Old Hickory is completely under water affecting approximately 150 homes and families.  I pray this is a once in a lifetime event!!

Riverside - PHOTOS: CLICK HERE

The golf course at Riverside is submerged in water.  The first, and main floor at Riverside is under water.  The maintenance shed is in water to the roof.  The entire cart fleet is under water.  All this affects Gary and Jimmy.

For me, the teaching building I teach out of is, of course, under water.  As of this morning, I estimate the contents of the building are sloshing in about 10 feet of water. So, I am hoping to begin cleaning up Friday or Saturday, but who knows, that may be optimistic.

Barney Alary

Smyrna Golf Course
Flooded and only able to open 6 holes on the front. Our Executive Course came through it with no problems and we were able to open it Monday morning. We have several holes with bunker damage but the greens came through fine. We had five greens under water at one time but they are all above now. Probably will be 3-5 days before we get the regulation course open. Updated 5/6/10

Stillwater Golf Club

Some sod washed away on at least 9 holes. Estimated a set back of 1 month.

The Golf Club of Tennessee

Extensive damage to 75% of course. Closed until further notice. Currently looking for reciprocity for members at other local courses.

The Governors Club

Currently Closed. Bunker damage and making sure bridges are still structurally sound. Looking to re-open Thursday May 6, 2010.

The Legacy of Springfield

Back nine open for play. Front side closed due to standing water.

Vanderbilt Legends Club

We have had no damage on North course and extensive damage to two

greens, green surrounds and bunkers on four holes on the back side of

the South course. Holes #12 and #16 greens will need to be rebuilt.

Will Brewer

Veteran's Admin Golf Course
Some damage to holes 6 & 7 other than that open for play.

Westhaven Golf Club
We feel very fortunate that our damage was not worse.  We have a couple of greens with some damage but playable and
we had one bridge that was damaged that will need repair before we can
use it again.  We anticipate having the practice facilities open this
week and at least a portion of the golf course open this week.  We will
be able to open all 18 holes as soon as the bridge is repaired.  Of
course, many of our bunkers washed and will need to be restored and the
course has a lot of debris to be removed.  Otherwise, we feel very good
about the conditions.
