Belle Meade Country Club Damage in bunkers and some drainage issues on greens but all things considered course is doing well and they plan to reopen Friday or Saturday.
Half the Course is open for play the other half is still underwater and they do not know the extent of the damage done yet to that side. Forrest Crossing Golf Club Range now open. Golf Course opening May 7th in the afternoon. Updated 5/6/10 Gaylord Springs Golf Links: Gaylord was one of the worst hit facilities. The course was completely underwater including the first level of the clubhouse – which includes the cart barn. Neil Collins was hoping to access the facility by boat on Tuesday to assess the damage and to gather personal belongings. The Gaylord Golf Institute run by Virgil Herring, PGA suffered major damage and most likely all of his equipment is gone. On a personal note, Virgil lives in
Harpeth Valley Golf Center was heavily impacted by the flood. We lost our office and pro shop, our maintenance building (and most of their contents), some equipment, our lighted sign, carport, electrical pole with meters and boxes, some range and course damage. The list goes on and on. We were devastated. We are currently closed, but hope to have a temporary office in and back open for business by May 15th. Prayers appreciated.
Hillwood Country Club: Course had some bunker damage, but came through relatively unscathed. Club is open for play. One staff member lost his home and car, so they are seeking donations for him and his family. Johnny Warren Golf Adademy: Academy and range are fine. Part of Fairvue Plantation property. Foxland Course in good shape; Lakes Course has a lot of water throughout course. Long Hollow Golf Course: Extensive damage to back nine. Holding pond collapsed. Cart path damage, tee signs gone. Have front 9 open for play, but back 9 is still being assessed for damage. Four greens that run along side of the creek were totally destroyed along with the cart path in that area and much of the fence between the course and the Richland Creek Greenway.The course, which usually features 27 holes, is scheduled to re-open Thursday with 18 holes that still are playable. The par will be 67.
The
Minimal damage – lost a lot of training aids as water filled their storage area. Hope to be up and teaching again on Wednesday, May 5.
Old 75% of the course is under water. Still assessing damage to greens, but are hoping they will be okay. Most likely will be closed for a week.
Old Joey The golf course at For me, the teaching building I teach out of is, of course, under water. As of this morning, I estimate the contents of the building are sloshing in about 10 feet of water. So, I am hoping to begin cleaning up Friday or Saturday, but who knows, that may be optimistic.
Barney Alary Some sod washed away on at least 9 holes. Estimated a set back of 1 month. The Golf Club of Extensive damage to 75% of course. Closed until further notice. Currently looking for reciprocity for members at other local courses. The Governors Club Currently Closed. Bunker damage and making sure bridges are still structurally sound. Looking to re-open Thursday May 6, 2010. The Legacy of Back nine open for play. Front side closed due to standing water. Vanderbilt Legends Club We have had no damage on North course and extensive damage to two greens, green surrounds and bunkers on four holes on the back side of the South course. Holes #12 and #16 greens will need to be rebuilt.
