Charter Member of the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame.

Zeb Patten and Mike Bennett are the 2004 Waxo Green TPGA Pro-Pro Champions
(Nashville, TN) This event is dedicated to Waxo Green. Waxo is a member of the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame and wrote for the Nashville Banner for 44 years. He was arguably one of the most popular golf writers of all time.
In the final round of the TPGA Pro-Pro Championship, PGA Professionals Zeb Patten and Mike Bennett from the Chattanooga Golf Center shot a –7 under par 65 to win the Championship by 2 shots. The champs finished at –15 under par for the tournament. Tied for second place were PGA Professionals Casey and James Van De Griff from Knoxville and Greg Wyatt of Crossville and Euggie Jones from Kingsport. They both finished the championship at –13 under par. Bringing home fourth place was three teams who finished at –11 under par: Audie Johnson (Lebanon) and Loren Personett (Antioch), Rob Riddle and Joey Westmoreland from Chattanooga, and Bruce Etter and Mike Miller, also from Chattanooga.
In all, 76 of Tennessee’s finest PGA Professionals competed at the 6,900 yard par 72 Richland Country Club in Nashville. The event in named and played in memory of longtime Middle Tennessee sports writer Dudley “Waxo” Green and proudly supported by Tom Bannen of Tom Bannen Chevrolet.
