Home Club juniors/pro repeat in the
2004 Winn-Dixie/Pepsi TPGA Pro-Junior Championship
(Hixson, TN) PGA Professional Mark Guhne, golf coach at Univ. of TN-Chattanooga, led his team to victory at today’s
Winn-Dixie - Pepsi TPGA Pro-Junior Championship. The event was held at the 6,700-yard par 71 Valleybrook Golf & Country Club in Hixson, Tennessee. Juniors Tripp Harris, Derek Rende, Sloan Allison and professional Mark Guhne represented Valleybrook Golf & Country Club well as they posted the low score of the Championship of 59 (-12 under par) in the Best Ball division.
The Lookout Mountain Golf Club team that included pro-Aaron Feyes, juniors Bruce Crumbliss, Doug Dodson, & William Probasco finished in first place in the Scramble division with the low score of 60 (-11 under par).
Richard Spraker of Oak Ridge Country Club captured the Low Professional Honors as he posted a –2 under par 69. James Van De Griff of Holston Hills Country Club was second after shooting a 70, -1 under par.
Blake Greer from Oak Ridge Country Club won a scholarship to attend the Tennessee PGA Junior Academy. His week long stay at Golf House Tennessee for the Academy was randomly awarded and was possible thanks to the sponsors of this year’s event.
