PGA PRO MARK HOUSER SHOOTS 64 TO CLAIM SENIOR DIVISION AND A PLAYOFF WINS THE REGULAR DIVISION FOR TRIPP HARRIS AT THE 31ST ANNUAL IRA TEMPLETON CHATTANOOGA OPEN

 

 

(Hixson, TN)  It was another beautiful day at Creeks Bend Golf Club for the final round of the 31st Annual Ira Templeton Chattanooga Open.  Creeks Bend GC is in great shape and we would like to thank all of the people who help put on this great event.

 

In the Regular Division, four players tied at –4 under par for the event.  PGA Professional Audie Johnson (Lebanon) and amateurs Tripp Harris (Soddy Daisy), Scott Vick (Franklin) and Matt Robertson (Cleveland) started the playoff on Hole #1.  All three amateurs tied and continued on, Audie Johnson didn’t win the playoff but did claim the Low Professional Division.  Scott Vick was eliminated on the third playoff hole and Tripp Harris claimed the title over Matt Robertson on the fourth playoff hole.

 

The rest of the top five PGA Professionals were:  Buddy Harston (Whites Creek) at –2 under par, Chris Taylor (Bristol) finished at –1 under par, Patrick Williams (Hixson) shot even par and Rich Spraker (Oak Ridge) was +1 over par for the tournament.

 

In the Senior Division, PGA Professional Mark Houser (Kingsport) fired a –6 under par 64 to finish the tournament at –4 under par and claim the Senior Division of the 31st Annual Ira Templeton Chattanooga Open.  PGA Pro Tom Kammann (Baneberry) ended at –2 under par to bring home second place.  Local amateur Thomas Baird (Signal Mountain) shot even par to win the Low Senior Amateur Division.  Another local PGA Professional Tony Farmer (Cleveland) finished the tournament at +1 over par to bring home fourth place overall in the senior division.
