Stacy, Helton Come from Behind to Win Coca-Cola Classic in Regular and Senior Division

 

The Coca-Cola Classic wrapped up today at Oak Ridge Country Club in Oak Ridge, TN.  One hundred and one Tennessee PGA Professionals and Amateurs competing in both Regular and Senior Divisions throughout the 36 hole, two day event.  Round two conditions were sunny, warm with a little breeze, presented the players with ample opportunities to fire at the flags. 

 

In the Senior Division Randy Helton, Head PGA Professional at River Bend Country Club came from behind to win after firing a 3-under-par 69.  Helton finished with a 2 day total of 138 (-6 under par).  Overnight division leader Will Brewer, Head PGA Professional at Vanderbilt Legends Club, shot a 71 in round two to add to his first round 68. Finishing with a two day total of 139 (-5 under par) placed Brewer second in the Overall Senior Division.

 

Chris Stacy, PGA Professional at Lonsome Pines County Club, Pennington Gap, VA finished with an impressive final round of 5-under par 67 to go along with his even par 72 in the first round. He had a 139 (-5 under par) two day total to give in the edge by one stroke over amateur Jeremy Cox of Lake City, TN.

 

The 2009 edition of the Coca-Cola Classic provided yet another exciting finish.
