C. L. “Gibby” Gilbert

 

%    Won three straight Tennessee State Open titles in 1988, 1989 and 1990, as well as another in 1986

%    He won the State PGA Championship title five times (1979, 86, 87, 88 & 90)

%    He joined the PGA Tour in 1967 with victories in 1970, 1976 and 1977

%    His Tour earnings are $1,055,479

%    In 1991 he joined the Senior PGA Tour and has collected numerous Senior Tour victories

%    Gibby was inducted into the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame in 1995

Gibby Gilbert grew up in Chattanooga and still makes his home there with his wife Judy.  During Gibby’s career he always included time for junior golf.  Since 1973, he made annual appearances for the Tennessee PGA’s Junior Golf Academy at Fall Creek Falls.
