Eligibility: Tennessee Section Members and Apprentices in good standing and Amateurs who meet the USGA definition of an amateur golfer. Amateurs do
not have to be from the same club. Only one active scholarship player per team.
Format: TPGA golf professional and three (3) scratch amateurs will compete in a Scratch Pro-Am, team Best Ball event.
Entry: $
125 for Professionals and Amateurs ($500 per team).
Entry fee includes cart and range for both days.
Estimated Purse: $10,500
Entry Deadline: Wednesday, September 6 at 5:00 PM (CST) or earlier if full field of 48 teams is met.
Field Limit: The field is limited to the first 48 teams with each professional limited to one team until September 1st. If field is not full at that time, professionals may enter additional teams by contacting the Section office at (615) 790-7600.
Prizes: Team prizes, Low Professional and Low Amateur prizes will be awarded. USGA Rules limit amateur players to winning a total of $750 in retail merchandise from team and individual play.
Spikeless Policy: Traditional metal spikes are
prohibited in accordance with the Club’s rules and regulations.
Practice Round: Call Aubrey King at (931) 788-3301 two weeks in advance for practice round starting times. Please call in advance to assure a practice round time as times may be limited that Sunday.
Starting Times: Will be posted on the web or call Aubrey King beginning Saturday September 9th for starting times. It will be a double tee start at 9 AM each morning.
Sponsor Pro-Am: Professionals - If you are interested in participating in the Sunday Sponsor Pro-Am please contact Aubrey King at (931) 788-3301. Their is a limited number of spots available and their is an added $1500 purse for the professionals on Sunday.
Refund Policy: A full refund (minus $15 admin fee) will be issued for withdrawals before the entry deadline. After the entry deadline and before the tournament, a full refund (minus $15 admin fee) will be issued if accompanied by a medical note, or an immediate death in the family, but not for any other reason.

Electronic Measuring Devices for TPGA and TGA Events
Beginning in 2006 The Tennessee PGA will be adopting a Local Rule permitting the use of Electronic Measuring Devices (EMD's) for ALL its competitions with the exception of qualifiers of National PGA events or PGA Tour events. This includes all Sanctioned Events such as the Callaway Open and the Harold Eller Memorial Pro-Am, in which professionals and amateurs both will be permitted to use such devices.
Note: "In Tennessee PGA events,a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.”
The Tennessee Golf Association is not adopting the local rule to allow Electronic Measuring Devices during their Championships. The only events in which the TGA will adopt the local rule will be for Regional One Day Events.
