The 2008 Ira Templeton Chattanooga Open was held this week at Creeks Bend Golf Club in Hixson, TN.  After a brief morning weather delay, 77 players teed off in Tuesday's final round. 

Randy Helton of Stone’s River Country Club held the lead in the Overall Senior Division and Senior Professional Division with back to back rounds of 66 for a two day total 132 (8 under par).  In the Senior Amateur Division Gary Pettit of Dade City, FL and Neil Spitalny of Chattanooga tied for the lead with a 36 hole total of 136 (4 under par). 

In the Overall Regular Division and Regular Professional Division Matt Brock, Assistant Professional at Chattanooga Country Club, shot an impressive second day score of 64 (6 under par) to capture the lead by 2 strokes over Head Professional Bruce Etter of Chattanooga Country Club and Scott Masters Head Professional at The Wee Course at Williams Creek who fired a tournament low second day 63 (7 under par).

In the Regular Amateur Division Todd Burgan of Knoxville, TN and Jeff Golliher of Knoxville, TN tied for first place with a 36 hole total of 136 (-4 under par).

Tournament director Danny Tribble said “All and all the tournament was a great success and would like to thank all participants for playing in the 33^rd Ira Templeton Chattanooga Open.”
