(Crossville) Professional Marci Turner of Tompkinsville, KY captured first place today at the Golf Capital of Tennessee Women's Open Championship. Turner posted a total of 220 (68-73-79), 4 over par. She also took home a $7,000 prize check that was presented by Crossville, title sponsor for this year's championship. Sara Grantham of
Wilsonville, AL took home low amateur honors today posting a total of 221 (74-72-75). Grantham tied several other professionals for second place including, Lee Ann Walker-Cooper (Southport, NC), Walailak Satarak (Bellflower, CA), and Kim Williams (Sorrento, FL).
Tennessee had a strong showing at this years championship. Twenty-seven players made the cut to the low 60 players and ties, eight of which finished in the top 20 overall.
