A total of fifty-five teams representing twenty-six clubs from around the state competed in this year’s TPGA Club Car Pro-Official Championship at Governors Club in Brentwood, TN.   Each two person team, consisting of a Tennessee PGA Professional and one official from his or her club, competed in both a Gross and a Net better ball division.

The day began with the competitors enjoying a plated lunch prepared by Governors Club.   During lunch, players had the pleasure of hearing from former Tennessee Titan Frank Wycheck.   After a brief warm-up period, the teams teed off at 1:00 in a shotgun start.   Chattanooga Golf and Country Club’s Bruce Etter and official Tom Baird combined to birdie 12 holes in route to winning the Team Gross Division with a score of 60.   In the Team Net division, Glenn Hudson and Richard Comer of LaFollette Country Club took the title with a 13-under-par 59.

After play, participants were treated to a fantastic awards reception presented by Gentleman Jack featuring live music from nationally renowned songwriter, Tony Haselden.

Special thanks to Eddie Moon and Scott Bailey and Governors Club for hosting the event.   Thanks also to tournament sponsors Steve Bledsoe of Club Car, Rob Spencer of Bollé Eyewear, Bryce Hollowell of Page & Tuttle, Peter Bucci of Gentleman Jack, Paul Branlund of Sun Mountain Sports, and Paul Tagher of Sterling Cut Glass.
