Taylor Manning Takes The Win:
46th Tennessee Girls' Junior Amateur Championship
(Greeneville, TN)- Taking home the coveted Ruth Eller Trophy, the number 219 was the overall score that gave Taylor Manning the championship win. Manning, from Brentwood, did not stray too far from the top of the leaderboard during the entire 3 day tournament. She began her first round with a 76, improved by six strokes for round two with a 70, and then closed out her competition with one over par, 73. Over the three days, Manning‘s 9 bogeys and one double bogey were offset by her 8 birdies and steady focus on the course. This is the first TGA Championship win for the rising high school junior. Congratulations Taylor!!!

Taking home the win in the 10-14 year old division was Alexandra Farnsworth of Nashville. Farnsworth stole the show on the back nine each day prevailing with the low score for each round. She took round 1 with a 37, shot a 38 for round 2, and shared the low score of 37 on the final round with Kensington Wieland of Loudon. Farnsworth took home the junior Ruth Eller trophy that was named after a legend in women’s amateur golf and was as well a great friend of Farnsworth’s grandmother. Grandmother, Mrs. Pat Cunningham of Winchester, presented her granddaughter with the trophy.
