Franklin, Tenn. - Author Gene Pearce of Jackson, Tenn. has written another Tennessee golf history book that details records pertaining to all State tournaments, Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame inductees, award winners, association presidents and more.
The 2010
Tennessee Golf Almanac and Record Book covers all of the major state golf
championships for men, women, and juniors. Included is a recap of the 2009
events, plus the past champions and records for each of the tournaments. The
Almanac includes Tennessee Milestones in Golf from 1894 to the present; 2009
Player of the Year standings; a recap of black golf history in Tennessee;
cameos of each of the 33 members of the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame; a
year-by-year list of the annual awards presented by the state's golf
associations; a list of Tennessee's past presidents of state, regional,
national, and international golf associations; a Champions section, listing all
Tennessee champions and the state, regional, and national titles won by each; a Necrology section; and a Superlatives section,
earmarking the unique accomplishments of former and present Tennesseans. The
